Announcement:

Widdrington building work

We would like to invite you to get your flu vaccination at the Felton Village Hall on Thursday 17 October 2024. You can drop-in to get your vaccination between 9.00am and 1.00pm You don’t need to make an appointment.

The vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and your family against flu this winter. For more information please log onto the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/.

We will also have colleagues on hand to discuss the proposed new surgery in Felton. We know patients and the local community are keen to be updated on progress. Earlier this year we received planning permission to go ahead with the development. Our developer partner, Assura, is now in the process of tendering for a construction partner. This process will take around two months.

When this process is complete, we will be in a position to organise another dedicated drop-in information session about the proposed new surgery, probably towards the end of this year or early in the new year. We are still working through the details of what services we will provide from the surgery. We are keen to hear from you about what additional community services you would find beneficial.

We will also be holding a drop-in vaccination clinic in the afternoon at our Felton surgery from 2.00pm – 5.00pm. Please note that if you wish to talk about the proposed new surgery in Felton, you will need to attend the morning session.

Please note that flu vaccines can only be given to eligible patients. For eligibility criteria, please visit the NHS website (https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/). If you are not eligible for a vaccine but would still like to speak to us about the proposed new site, you’re more than welcome to pop in and do so.

We hope to see you next week.
